Kenya’s Petroleum potential is best depicted by the four large sized sedimentary basins that straddle the Country (sedimentary basins & exploration blocks map). These are Lamu, Anza, Mandera, and Tertiary Rift basins. The sedimentary basins are divided into exploration blocks as shown below.
