Mozambique Eyes First LNG Export This Week

Three months after Mozambique started filling the Coral Sul FLNG from the Coral South project the country is yet to achieve its first liquid natural gas export with the arrival of the LNG tanker British Mentor later today.

The tanker operated by bp is bound to the Eni operated Coral-Sul FLNG facility located in Cabo Delgado province thereafter sending the country’s first shipment to the international market.

The tanker with a capacity of 173,400-cbm will dock at the 3.4 mtpa Coral Sul FLNG as part of an earlier deal with bp to buy LNG produced at the floating Coral sul facility.

Eni operates the Area 4 block along its JV partners ExxonMobil, CNPC, GALP, Kogas and ENH
