Oil, Gas and Mines Africa Exhibition and Conference set for Nairobi in May

Oil, Gas and Mines Africa Exhibition and Conference targets to leverage the interest in the growing oil, gas and mining sectors in East Africa and bridges the gap for the need for a dedicated event to help boost these sectors.

The first Oil, Gas & Mines East Africa is an international event that will feature a two-day conference and associated trade exhibition with the aim of providing a platform for professionals, companies and stakeholders to learn and understand the growth potentials of the countries in the East Africa region and showcase the newest products, services and technologies of companies in order to encourage business, improve their operations, and attract investment.

Inside the conference discussions will include the regional geology and basin analysis with various sessions around: petroleum prospectivity of offshore Lamu basin, tectonics of the Triassic-Jurassic Mandawa Basin of Coastal Tanzania and development of Waxy Oil within East Africa Based on Decision Tree Evaluation lined up in Day one.

Other topics surround topics like how to utilize new technologies like: airborne gravity, optimizing well locations, simulation of asphaltene desposition during co2 flooding, multi-property mapping among others to maximize efficiency.

Another session to discuss challenges and solutions in exploration with special focus on rock physics, geomechanics and seismic surveillance is also planned for day two.

The Oil, Gas and Mines Africa Exhibition and Conference will happen on 9-11 May 2017 at Kenyatta International Convention Center, Nairobi, Kenya.

The event is organized by the Oil & Gas West Asia and Oman Minerals & Mining Exhibition & Conference.
