The site survey work was performed off the R\/V Proteus, a research vessel owned and operated by TDI-Brooks.<\/p>\n<p>The goal was to assess seabed conditions prior to the emplacement of a drilling rig at three proposed locations (previously drilled) together with reconnaissance survey work at two additional platforms and along a number of proposed cable\/pipeline routes. Survey objectives included the following:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Undertake a Debris Clearance Survey (DCS) at each of the locations.<br \/>\n\u2022 Identify and establish areal nature of the previous spud can footprints.<br \/>\n\u2022 Establish the nature of the shallow soils, within the top 5m and to a depth of &gt;20- 25m.<br \/>\n\u2022 Acquire deep CPT data &gt;20m at two locations.<br \/>\n\u2022 Acquire representative data at nominal proposed Relief Well Locations (RWL).<br \/>\n\u2022 Reconnaissance of existing platforms and along proposed routes (single lines).<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_9865\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.tdi-bi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/25cm-cube-grid.png?ssl=1\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-9865 \" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.tdi-bi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/25cm-cube-grid-300x170.png?resize=447%2C253&#038;ssl=1\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 447px) 100vw, 447px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.tdi-bi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/25cm-cube-grid-300x170.png 300w, https:\/\/www.tdi-bi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/25cm-cube-grid-768x436.png 768w, https:\/\/www.tdi-bi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/25cm-cube-grid-1024x581.png 1024w, https:\/\/www.tdi-bi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/25cm-cube-grid-1080x613.png 1080w\" alt=\"\" width=\"447\" height=\"253\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-9865\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-9865\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">25cm Cube Grid<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>In addition to a site survey, TDI-Brooks completed gCPT measurements at two proposed drill sites. The purpose of the TDI-Brooks Gravity CPT (gCPT) tool is to transport a precisely calibrated memory cone penetrometer down to the seabed to gather dynamic PCPT cone data from the mud line to 10+ m BML.
