{"id":8890,"date":"2020-08-18T07:18:05","date_gmt":"2020-08-18T07:18:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/oilnewskenya.com\/?p=8890"},"modified":"2020-08-18T07:18:05","modified_gmt":"2020-08-18T07:18:05","slug":"angola-total-restarts-drilling-in-block-32","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.oilnewskenya.com\/index.php\/angola-total-restarts-drilling-in-block-32\/","title":{"rendered":"Angola: Total Restarts Drilling in Block 32"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Total has restarted drilling in Angola&#8217;s Block 32 with the Skyros rig already in place with more drilling expected by the end of August using the Maersk Voyager according to country manager\u00a0Olivier Jouny on <em>Africa Oil &amp; Power <\/em>publication.<\/p>\n<p>The French giant which is Angola&#8217;s largest operator by production had four drilling rigs operating at the start of 2020\u00a0 accounting for about 50%\u00a0 of the country&#8217;s crude oil production.<\/p>\n<p>Ultra-deep offshore\u00a0Block 32\u00a0(30%) is located in water depths ranging from 1,400 to 1,900\u00a0meters. It includes the Kaombo development hub, which covers six fields: Gindungo, Gengibre, Louro, Mostarda, Canela and Caril.<\/p>\n<p>Block 17 is Total&#8217;s primary asset in Angola and comprises four major hubs: Girassol, Dalia, Pazflor and CLOV. Total also holds working interests in Blocks 14 (20%), 14K (36.75%) and 0 (10%).
