Tanzania will host the Africa LPG\nSummit from 3-4 July at the Mlimani Conference Centre, Dar es Salaam for the\nsecond time. It was first held in Tanzania in 2016. This year\u2019s platinum\nsponsor is Oryx Energies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The 6th African LPG conference\nand exhibition will include a vibrant exhibition of 80 companies and a dynamic\nconference agenda focusing on the East African region over two days. This\nevent is endorsed by Petroleum Bulk Procurement Agency (PBPA)\nand World LPG Association (WLPGA). <\/p>\n\n\n\n
As LPG is proving itself to not\nonly be a healthier and more environmentally friendly fuel, it is also now\nproving itself to be cheaper and more economic than charcoal – at almost five\ntimes cheaper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A special Cooking for\nLife workshop will be led by Michael Kelly, Deputy Director of World LPG\nAssociation (WLPGA). Cooking for Life is the association\u2019s\nflagship initiative in terms of development. The goal is to convert 1 billion\npeople from cooking with biomass to cooking with LPG by\n2030. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Summit seeks to\nproliferate the use of LPG at a time when it has become economically sensible\nfor the majority of users who are still using traditional fuels to switch over\nto LPG. The benefits of using LPG has far reaching implications and has the\npotential to save the lives of millions and improve the quality of life of many\nmillions more causing ripples that will benefit future generations like few\nother lifestyle changes can. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The LPG Summit will also promote\nthe use of fuel for cooking, heating and power generation.
