Maurel\net Prom has scheduled a slick line campaign towards the end of March 2019 which\nwill include opening the sliding-sleeves of various\nwell completions and acquiring static pressures in the Lower MB sand interval.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The campaign involves opening sliding sleeves, which\nshut off or open flow from one or more reservoir zones and allows\nfor more operational flexibility in the asset with regards sustaining plateau\nproduction. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to JV partner Wentworth Resources the\npressure monitoring of sands currently not flowing will further refine the\nJoint Venture understanding of both in-place and recoverable volumes in all\nintervals of the Mnazi Bay field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ultimately\nthe JV says these operations will determine if sustained higher production\nrates can accommodate forward demand growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It\nis expected that demand will increase in H2 2019 and beyond due to an increase\nin demand from Dangote Cement Plant (from 15 MMscf\/d to 35 MMscf\/d) and the\nKinyerezi Power Complex realizing its full capacity. Following this it is\nexpected that the average daily production rate will be limited to 70 MMscf\/day\nfrom 11 March 2019 until early April 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDespite this reduced production, the onset of the\nrainy season in April through May 2019 and the scheduled maintenance of the\npower stations at the Ubungo Complex in Dar es Salaam, the Company is\nmaintaining current guidance for 2019 average daily production of between 75 –\n85 MMscf\/day,\u201d Wentworth said in a statement. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile\nWentworth reports that payment for gas sales in January and February from the Mnazi Bay Concession have been received from both\nTPDC and Tanzania Electric Supply Company Limited (TANESCO).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
