{"id":7014,"date":"2018-05-20T10:56:58","date_gmt":"2018-05-20T10:56:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.oilnewskenya.com\/?p=7014"},"modified":"2018-05-20T10:56:58","modified_gmt":"2018-05-20T10:56:58","slug":"early-oil-pilot-scheme-start-1st-june-oil-revenue-sharing-agreed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.oilnewskenya.com\/index.php\/early-oil-pilot-scheme-start-1st-june-oil-revenue-sharing-agreed\/","title":{"rendered":"Early Oil Pilot Scheme to Start on 1st June, As Oil Revenue Sharing Agreed"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>President Uhuru Kenyatta has announced that the production of oil from the Turkana oilfields will start without any hindrance after an agreement was reached on the sharing of revenue.<\/p>\n<p>The President, said the revenue from oil will be shared on the basis of 75 percent for all Kenyans through the National Government, 20 percent to the county government and five percent will go to the local community.<\/p>\n<p>The Head of State spoke after a deal was struck on the Petroleum (Exploration and Production) Bill specifically as regards to provisions for revenue sharing.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe now have an understanding that can put Kenya on the map of oil exporting countries.
