Express Shipping and Logistics Eyes Uganda\u2019s Upstream Sector with New Kampala Office<\/p>\n

Kenya\u2019s Express Shipping and Logistics has expanded to Uganda with the opening of the Kampala branch office as the company eyes business from the multi-billion dollar upstream sector in the East African country.<\/p>\n

According to Express Shipping and Logistics their entry into Uganda gives the company access to customers from the great lakes region even as development phase kicks in ahead of the planned 2020 date for Uganda\u2019s first oil flow.<\/p>\n

According to ESL Uganda managing director Silvester Katuta the company aims at easing and hastening logistics management as well as handling customers\u2019 crucial tasks.<\/p>\n

\u201cShip owners, charterers, customers and carrier partners enjoy an exceptional experience grounded in ESL\u2019s mission to deliver distinctive service that powers our customers to be market leaders in their respective markets,\u201d Silvester is quoted by the Observer.<\/p>\n

ESL adds that it believes its Kenyan expertise will give it a niche over its competition especially with various equipment expected to go through Kenya\u2019s Mombasa port to the Albertine region in West Uganda.<\/p>\n

It is expected that over 500,000 tons of material will be imported for the East Africa Crude Oil pipeline project<\/a> alone. Other major projects include the greenfield refinery<\/a>, the petrochemical industrial park<\/a> among others.<\/p>\n

ESL which was established in 2001 specializes in warehousing, intermodal services, road transport, dangerous goods management, customs clearing and forwarding, air and ocean freights, ships agency and ships brokerage.<\/p>\n
