It covers the Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation, Commissioning and Start-up (EPCIC) of the <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/2dhxVkG\">Coral South FLNG<\/a> facility and its associated risers and subsea flowlines system, as well as the installation of the umbilicals and subsea equipment.<\/p>\n<p>The floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) facility will be designed to produce close to 3.4 Mtpa of liquefied natural gas and will be moored in 2,000 meters of water depth in the Area 4, offshore Mozambique.<\/p>\n<p>According to Chief Executive Officer of TechnipFMC Doug Pferdehirt the award demonstrates the consortiums strength in their integrated offerings<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are honored to be the leader of the execution of this prestigious contract awarded by Eni and its partners to the TJS consortium. Combining TechnipFMC unique capabilities in both FLNG and Subsea, we have been able to propose to our client an optimum combination, demonstrating the strength of our integrated offerings,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis FLNG award is a key milestone for TechnipFMC and confirms our pioneering and leading position on the floating LNG market,\u201d Nello Uccelletti, President of TechnipFMC\u2019s Onshore\/Offshore business, commented.<\/p>\n<p>In <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/2hu6hSp\">November<\/a> last year Eni\u2019s Board of Directors authorized the investment for the first phase of the development of the Coral discovery (Coral South project), located in the deep waters of the Rovuma Basin (Area 4), offshore Mozambique a fundamental step towards the Final Investment Decision on the project.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.oilnewskenya.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/Area-4-coral-mamba-discoveries.png?ssl=1\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-4403 size-medium alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.oilnewskenya.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/Area-4-coral-mamba-discoveries-295x300.png?resize=295%2C300&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"295\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.oilnewskenya.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/Area-4-coral-mamba-discoveries.png?resize=295%2C300&amp;ssl=1 295w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.oilnewskenya.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/Area-4-coral-mamba-discoveries.png?resize=98%2C100&amp;ssl=1 98w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.oilnewskenya.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/Area-4-coral-mamba-discoveries.png?w=602&amp;ssl=1 602w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 295px) 100vw, 295px\" \/><\/a>Earlier this year ExxonMobil\u00a0and Eni\u00a0signed\u00a0a sale and purchase <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/2mqyIFo\">agreement<\/a> to enable ExxonMobil to acquire from Eni a 25 percent indirect interest in the natural gas-rich Area 4 block, offshore Mozambique. Eni currently holds a 50 percent indirect share in the block through a 71.4 percent stake in Eni East Africa, which owns 70 percent of the Area 4 concession.<\/p>\n<p>Following\u00a0completion of the transaction, Eni East Africa S.p.A. will be co-owned by Eni (35.7 percent), ExxonMobil (35.7 percent) and CNPC (28.6 percent).\u00a0The remaining interests in Area 4 are held by\u00a0Empresa\u00a0Nacional de\u00a0Hidrocarbonetos\u00a0de Mozambique\u00a0E.P.\u00a0(ENH, 10 percent),\u00a0Kogas\u00a0(10 percent) and\u00a0Galp\u00a0Energia\u00a0(10 percent).<\/p>\n<p>CORAL FLNG SA is a special purpose entity incorporated in Mozambique, owner of the FLNG facility and jointly owned by ENI MOZAMBIQUE LNG HOLDING B.V., CNODC MOZAMBIQUE B.V., ENH FLNG UM, S.A, GALP ENERGIA ROVUMA B.V and KG MOZAMBIQUE LTD.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>TechnipFMC, together with JGC Corporation and Samsung Heavy Industries, all partners in the TJS Consortium where TechnipFMC is leader, has been awarded by CORAL FLNG SA* a major contract.
