Ruvuma PSA Block operator Aminex has announced that production testing on the recently drilled Ntorya-2 appraisal well commenced over the weekend and gas is now flowing to surface.<\/p>\n

According to Aminex the well will be tested with a variety of flow rates and choke sizes to determine the optimal deliverability of the well for production purposes with the results of the production testing and petrophysical analysis expected by mid-March.<\/p>\n

Earlier this month Aminex announced<\/a> that the Ntorya-2 appraisal well located at the Ruvuma Production Sharing Agreement had been successfully drilled to a depth of approximately 2,750 metres and encountered a gross gas bearing reservoir unit of approximately 51 metres at 2,596 metres drilling depth.<\/p>\n

According to Aminex the preliminary petrophysical analysis of the Logging While Drilling (LWD) logs indicated a porous and hydrocarbon bearing reservoir with a potential net pay of between 25 and 30 metres.<\/p>\n

Aminex has 75% operating interest while joint venture partner Solo Oil has a 25% interest in the Ruvuma PSA, and in the Ntorya discovery and Ntorya-2 well.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
