Fully integrated professional and technical services firm AECOM has appointed Boni Chileshe as Managing Director for East Africa. Chileshe has over 30 years\u2019 experience within engineering and global professional services. And was until recently the Market Sector Leader for EMIA in Transmission and Distribution.<\/p>\n
Chileshe has worked for major multinationals in the US, UK, Europe and Africa, including Atlas Copco, Atkins, Airbus, Rolls Royce and Ove Arup & Partners in very senior roles and is a member of the Board as well as currently sits on the Power Board for AECOM in the UK. Chileshe\u2019s experience covers various industry sectors, such as energy, aerospace, marine, oil and gas, automotive, mining and manufacturing.<\/p>\n
His first job was as a young graduate at a Zambian copper mine. He is a part-time lecturer at the University of Birmingham in the Faculty of Engineering. Chileshe enjoys mentoring disadvantaged children in Birmingham, and works with a group known as 100 Black Men.<\/p>\n
Chileshe has an MBA from Birmingham and a Mechanical Engineering degree from London.\u00a0 As part of the top leadership team in Atkins, he also obtained a qualification from the Ashridge Business School in Leadership Masterclass.<\/p>\n
AECOM designs, builds, finances and operates infrastructure assets around the world for public- and private-sector clients. In Africa, AECOM has offices in over 20 countries, including Botswana, Ghana, Kenya, Mozambique, Nigeria, South Africa and Uganda.<\/p>\n
