{"id":4572,"date":"2016-04-13T09:05:12","date_gmt":"2016-04-13T09:05:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.oilnewskenya.com\/?p=4572"},"modified":"2017-01-25T10:19:39","modified_gmt":"2017-01-25T10:19:39","slug":"local-sector-extractive-sector-update-set-for-20th-april-2016","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.oilnewskenya.com\/index.php\/local-sector-extractive-sector-update-set-for-20th-april-2016\/","title":{"rendered":"Local Sector Extractive Sector Update Set for 20th April 2016"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The second in depth analysis of the local extractive sector organized by Oil &amp; Energy Services limited will be held on April 20th targeting business leaders interested investing in the\u00a0 extractive sector.<\/p>\n<p>According to the organizers the analysis will be supported by a quarterly report covering current and planned activities in the upstream sector.<\/p>\n<p>The briefing will also include infrastructural development around the sector and will include a roundtable discussion of key extractive issues and a networking opportunity with fellow executives.<\/p>\n<p>The aims and objectives of the briefing include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To arm company executives with knowledge on the opportunities available in Kenya&#8217;s Oil and Gas development \u00a0to allow for all rounded participation of local and regional companies in the sector<\/li>\n<li>To provide a networking opportunity for company executives to meet, share ideas and forge possible partnerships<\/li>\n<li>To provide analytical data based on trend and forecast analysis to address special topics of interest.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The update is a follow up to the first briefing held on 29<sup>th<\/sup> January 2016 that saw attendance by key companies including: Barclays Plc, ABSA, PKF, Oraro Associates, GE, National Bank, iway Africa, BGP, among others.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the topics covered in January included: Addressing the price slump, possible theories explaining the causes, and future projections, Mega projects around oil and gas with a special focus on the goods and services demanded and an Analysis of goods and services in the O&amp;G value chain among several others.<\/p>\n<p>Interested?
