{"id":3059,"date":"2015-06-10T13:46:38","date_gmt":"2015-06-10T13:46:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.oilnewskenya.com\/?p=3059"},"modified":"2015-06-10T14:10:53","modified_gmt":"2015-06-10T14:10:53","slug":"east-african-countries-agree-two-crude-oil-pipelines","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.oilnewskenya.com\/index.php\/east-african-countries-agree-two-crude-oil-pipelines\/","title":{"rendered":"East African Countries Agree on Two Oil Pipelines"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>East African leaders from Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda have agreed to construct two oil pipelines that will enable Uganda and Kenya commence exports of discovered resources as well as relieve South Sudan dependence on the Khartoum government for its exports.<\/p>\n<p>In a communiqu\u00e9 read by Uganda\u2019s foreign affairs Minister Sam Kutesa following the 10<sup>th<\/sup> Northern Corridor Integration Projects Summit held in Kampala the three countries will fast track the construction the building of the pipeline from Uganda to the Kenyan Coast.<\/p>\n<p>The process to select the <a href=\"http:\/\/ow.ly\/O88je\">builder<\/a> of the pipeline is expected to commence in the next six months following the completion of a feasibility study by <a href=\"http:\/\/ow.ly\/O888n%20\">Toyota Tshusho<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>On the development of the oil refinery in Hoima Uganda there was a call for remaining partner states to confirm their public share participation in the project.
