The Africa Energy Forum is set to come up in Dubai in just two weeks\u2019 time attracting some 456 unique companies have registered from 63 countries worldwide.<\/p>\n
The delegates spanning the value chain of Africa\u2019s power sector are from 28 African countries the largest number to date in the Forum\u2019s 17 year history.<\/p>\n
The Forum has 11 Ministers confirmed; among those are Ministers of Energy, Infrastructure and Finance from Benin, Ghana, Guinea, Mauritius, Mozambique, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Rwanda, Uganda and Zambia, as well as heads of utilities and regulators across Africa.<\/p>\n
\n- This year\u2019s Forum introduces the \u2018Power In Africa Awards\u2019 & Black Tie Gala Dinner \u2013 an \u2018Emirati Banquet\u2019 honouring people and businesses with actual projects in operation on the continent.<\/li>\n
- 12 Ministerial and Utility-led country specific project briefings will shine the spotlight onto unique countries in Africa to provide detailed industry insights and in-country knowledge.<\/li>\n
- Africa Energy Yearbook- the official publication of the Forum now featuring insights from the most prolific investors and important stakeholders in the energy space.<\/li>\n
- Private meeting rooms for over 530 closed door meetings between investors and stakeholders.<\/li>\n
- The \u2018EnergyNet Student Engagement Initiative (ESEI)\u2019 brings 32 of the brightest chemical engineers and economics and law students from South Africa, Nigeria, Ghana, Mozambique, Tanzania, Kenya and Zambia to Dubai to meet investors and take that next step towards further development and employment.<\/li>\n
- This year also sees the launch of the \u2018ESEI Innovation Hub,\u2019 showcasing creative exciting and scalable renewable technology destined to impact Africa\u2019s access to alternative energy solutions.<\/li>\n
- Not to be missed \u2013 \u2018Access Power\u2019 present the \u2018Access Co-development Fund (ACF)’; a live \u2018Dragon\u2019s Den\u2019 style competition for early stage project investment, enabling four shortlisted projects to pitch for up to US$5m of development finance which will be awarded during the Forum in Dubai.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
