The 4th international oil and gas exhibitions has opened its doors at the Kenyatta International Conference Center bring together various players especially in the manufacturing of equipment and supply of services to the sector.<\/p>\n
The exhibition which was opened by Nairobi County assembly speaker\u00a0Alex Ole Magelo\u00a0kicked off to a low note as many would be visitors kept away as the heavy rains continue to pound Nairobi as well as cause traffic snarl ups in various major roads leading to the capital.<\/p>\n
The exhibitors are however hopeful that the flow of visitors will increase as the exhibition continues.<\/p>\n
Among products being exhibited include safety gear with a number of local and International companies exhibiting including North Safety, Port West and Unipro while various equipment manufacturers especially valves and onsite power generation equipment are also showcasing.<\/p>\n
A number of air logistics company are also present hoping to tap in from the ongoing exploration in the region at large which has seen an increase in experts in the field migrate to mainly Kenya and Tanzania to offer services. Cargo airline Astral Aviation and KLM are showcasing in this category.<\/p>\n
In general categories represented include: drilling and well completion equipment, lifting equipment, cranes and winches, instrumentation and control technology, offshore platforms, design, piling and floating equipment, refining and petrochemical equipment and services.<\/p>\n
Among associations present include the African Energy Association which supports efforts of African and international investors and policy makers to partake abundant opportunities in the continent.<\/p>\n
According to the organizers there are exhibitors from 22 countries most notable including those from: Kenya, India, China, Germany, Iran, United Kingdom and the United States.<\/p>\n
There is however not much to write about on the first day with progress expected as the exhibition continues.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
