{"id":2377,"date":"2015-01-29T17:15:39","date_gmt":"2015-01-29T16:15:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/oilnewskenya.com\/?p=2377"},"modified":"2015-05-20T13:15:16","modified_gmt":"2015-05-20T13:15:16","slug":"bg-group-and-kbr-signs-global-alliance","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.oilnewskenya.com\/index.php\/bg-group-and-kbr-signs-global-alliance\/","title":{"rendered":"BG Group and KBR signs global alliance"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[twitter-follow screen_name=&#8217;oilnewskenya&#8217;]<\/p>\n<p>BG Group has signed a global alliance with KBR that will enhance the company\u2019s capacity to deliver commercially attractive oil and gas projects around the world.<\/p>\n<p>The single-partner alliance, which has been signed for an initial six years also has options to extend to up to 10 years and will involve KBR\u2019s experienced engineers and specialists providing technical support, services (in both the pre-FEED and FEED stages), and project management expertise across BG Group\u2019s global upstream portfolio.<\/p>\n<p>Under the agreement, KBR will provide a flexible resource that can be scaled to match the specific requirements of each project rather important in a lower oil price environment as it will enable BG Group minimise its fixed costs whilst retaining access to high value technical expertise and support.<\/p>\n<p>BG Group Chief Operating Officer Sami Iskander says the alliance is important as it provides the company with access to dedicated and proven third-party expertise and resources that can be tailored to specific projects<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are pleased to announce our upstream alliance with KBR, which represents a significant evolution in the way we work with contractors.
