The Tembo-1 well that spud on June 19th<\/sup> is yet to be complete 5 months later according to the latest financial statement by Wentworth Resources despite having been projected to take between 60 and 90 days.<\/p>\n

According to the statement from the company the frontier exploration well located onshore Mozambique, Tembo-1 reached a depth of approximately 2,965 meters on October 30, 2014 .<\/p>\n

\u201cAlthough it is difficult to predict how long drilling will take, the Company plans to provide a complete update to shareholders on the results once drilling operations are complete,\u201d the company statement reads.<\/p>\n

The well is programmed to be drilled to the Jurassic at a total depth of 4,397 meters (4,250 meters True Vertical Depth Sub Sea) with drilling operations expected to continue through the month of November.<\/p>\n

Following completion of Tembo-1 well, the drilling rig will be mobilized to the northern section of the Onshore Rovuma Block, Mozambique and will commence drilling of the Kifaru-1 prospect.<\/p>\n

In the Kifaru-1 exploration well Wentworth Resources is targeting Tertiary as well as Cretaceous sands and expects a tilted fault block with multiple mapped closures at different stratigraphic levels.<\/p>\n

The company also says that it will consider future seismic and drilling operations in the event of a discovery in the Tembo-1 or Kifaru-1 exploration wells.<\/p>\n

Anadarko is the block operator with 35.70% participating interest with other joint operating partners being Maurel et Prom with 27.71%, ENH 15% and PTTEP 10%.<\/p>\n
