Australian explorer Pancontinental Oil and Gas has said it is seeking farminee for additional drilling post-Sunbird discovery in blocks L10A & L010B.<\/p>\n

The company that owns 18.75 percent interest in block L10A and 25% interest in L10B in its latest report says that it plans to conduct follow-up drilling in 2015 having announced Kenya\u2019s first offshore oil discovery in the beginning of the year.<\/p>\n

Currently Pancontinental says it is now conducting a 3D seismic survey totaling 4,800km2 to identify commercial-sized oil targets in a variety of carbonate (reef) and clastic (sandstone) targets.<\/p>\n

Crombec N, Longclaw Stack, Weaver Stack and Chatterer are under consideration for next wells.<\/p>\n

The company is also seeking a farminee in the offshore block L6 where it holds 40 percent interest offshore and 16 percent onshore.<\/p>\n

The block with an estimated 3.7 billion barrels of oil has its hydrocarbon potential centered along the Maridadi Trough the source kitchen.<\/p>\n
