The seventh East African Petroleum Conference & Exhibition 2015 will be held 4 to 6 March 2015 at the Kigali Serena Hotel in Rwanda.<\/p>\n
Rwanda’s President His Excellency Paul Kagame is expected to officially open the Conference, whose theme is East Africa Region – Proven Destination for Investment in Petroleum Resources for Regional Energy Efficiency and Lasting Socio-Economic Development.<\/p>\n
According to the EAC Deputy Secretary General in charge of Productive and Social Sectors Jean Claude Nsengiyumva, the fifth biennial Conference and Exhibition hosted by the EAC will promote the region\u2019s petroleum potential and investment opportunities with the last four Conferences having proved to be a useful forum for governments and industry players from around the world to dialogue.<\/p>\n
The East African Petroleum Conferences have provided increasing awareness of the potential for petroleum development in the region and other important developments in the petroleum sector including technological advancements in exploration, development and production.<\/p>\n
The Conferences brings together participants from international oil companies, oil industry service companies, government institutions, academic institutions, international geoscientific journals, non-oil and gas institutions and the media.<\/p>\n
Organisers say delegates attending the conference can expect high quality technical presentations, exhibitions from a wide spectrum of players from the petroleum sector and field excursions to the five EAC Partner States to witness first hand geological features of interest.<\/p>\n
At the exhibition to be held on the sidelines of the Conference the EAC Secretariat will educate the public on the recently signed EAC Monetary Union Protocol and other regional integration initiatives.<\/p>\n
EAPCE\u201915 is taking place at the peak of EAC’s transforming into a Common Market. This transformation to geared towards providing great opportunities for business and investment in all sectors as the single market provides for free movement of goods, capital and services within the region.<\/p>\n
The conference organized by the EAC is expected to attract more than 1000 participants.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
