{"id":1650,"date":"2014-08-20T15:59:25","date_gmt":"2014-08-20T12:59:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/oilnewskenya.com\/?p=1650"},"modified":"2015-09-04T10:00:03","modified_gmt":"2015-09-04T10:00:03","slug":"start-up-and-equipment-challenges-delay-completion-of-tembo-1-well-in-mozambique","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.oilnewskenya.com\/index.php\/start-up-and-equipment-challenges-delay-completion-of-tembo-1-well-in-mozambique\/","title":{"rendered":"Start-up and Equipment challenges delay completion of Tembo-1 well in Mozambique"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[twitter-follow screen_name=&#8217;oilnewskenya&#8217;]<\/p>\n<p>Wentworth resources has reported a 45 day delay in its drilling operations on the Tembo-1 exploration well in the Rovuma Onshore Concession encountered start-up and equipment challenges.<\/p>\n<p>The company says the well which is situated in the Rovuma Onshore Concession in Northern Mozambique commenced operations on June 19, 2014 encountered start-up and equipment challenges.<\/p>\n<p>Wentworth says it plans to update shareholders on the drilling results once drilling operations are complete with the operations timeline earlier set at between 60 and 90 days to complete.<\/p>\n<p>Wentworth has an 11.59 percent net interest in the Tembo-1 well which is being operated by Anadarko and drilled with the Helmerich &amp; Payne rig #243.<\/p>\n<p>Tembo-1 will be the third well drilled in the Rovuma onshore Concession following the Mocimboa-1 well, which encountered oil and natural gas shows in the Cretaceous and is located approximately 17 kilometers to the northeast of the Tembo-1 well.<\/p>\n<p>Following completion of drilling the Tembo-1 exploration well, plan to mobilize the drilling rig to the second well, Kifaru-1, located in the northern section of the Onshore Rovuma Block, adjacent to and 12 kilometers south of the Company&#8217;s Mnazi Bay Concession in Tanzania.<\/p>\n<p>[twitter-follow screen_name=&#8217;oilnewskenya&#8217;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[twitter-follow screen_name=&#8217;oilnewskenya&#8217;] Wentworth resources has reported a 45 day delay in its drilling operations on the Tembo-1 exploration well in the Rovuma Onshore Concession encountered start-up and equipment challenges.
