British explorer has conducted a new round of training for Kenyan journalist in what the company said is motivated by the need for better and accurate reporting with a majority of reporters and editors lacking the industry knowledge.<\/p>\n

The two day training that started yesterday is being carried out by renowned geologist and lecturer from Robert Gordon University Dr. Anthony Wyatt will touch various subjects including introduction to upstream, health and safety, seismic, drilling, appraisal among others.<\/p>\n

Also incorporated in the training include risks and economics of the oil and gas industry, as well as an operational update on its activities in Kenya.<\/p>\n

The training has attracted around 20 journalists mainly from Nairobi as well as operational areas such as Kisumu and Turkana.<\/p>\n

Tullow Oil alongside its venture partners has interest in several blocks including Blocks 10BA, 10BB, 10A, 12A, 13T and \u00a0block L8, offshore.<\/p>\n
