Petrobras is acquiring 75%, and upon completion of the transaction, the consortium will consist of Petrobras (operator, 75%), Oranto (15%), and ANP-STP (10%).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Since 2024, Petrobras has resumed its operations on the African continent and already has a stake in blocks in S\u00e3o Tom\u00e9 and Pr\u00edncipe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The operation reinforces exploratory activity on the African continent, with the purpose of portfolio diversification, and is aligned with the company&#8217;s long-term strategy, aiming at replenishing oil and gas reserves through exploration of new frontiers and collaboration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The acquisition of the block in S\u00e3o Tom\u00e9 and Pr\u00edncipe complied with all the company&#8217;s internal governance procedures, and is in line with the 2026-2030 Business Plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The completion of the transaction is subject to the fulfillment of precedent conditions, including applicable governmental and regulatory approvals from S\u00e3o Tom\u00e9 and Pr\u00edncipe.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Petrobras\u00a0announces that it has entered into\u00a0a\u00a0contract to acquire a stake and assume\u00a0operation\u00a0of Block 3,\u00a0offshore\u00a0S\u00e3o\u00a0Tom\u00e9 and Pr\u00edncipe\u00a0, in\u00a0Africa\u00a0, from Oranto Petroleum Limited (Oranto).
