{"id":15619,"date":"2026-02-10T12:28:04","date_gmt":"2026-02-10T12:28:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.oilnewskenya.com\/?p=15619"},"modified":"2026-02-10T12:28:07","modified_gmt":"2026-02-10T12:28:07","slug":"namibia-totalenergies-expands-its-exploration-portfolio-as-operator-of-pel104-license","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.oilnewskenya.com\/index.php\/namibia-totalenergies-expands-its-exploration-portfolio-as-operator-of-pel104-license\/","title":{"rendered":"NAMIBIA: TotalEnergies expands its exploration portfolio as operator of PEL104 license"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em><br><\/em><\/strong>TotalEnergies\u00a0has signed agreements to acquire a 42.5% operated interest in the PEL104 Exploration license, located offshore Namibia, from Eight Offshore Investments Holdings\u00a0and Maravilla Oil &amp; Gas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Upon completion of the transaction,\u00a0TotalEnergies will be the operator of the license holding a 42.5% interest alongside Petrobras (42.5%), Namcor (10%) and Eight (5%).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Located in the L\u00fcderitz basin, PEL104 license covers an area of around 11,000 km2 offshore Namibia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>&#8216;After the acquisition in December of a 40% operated interest in\u00a0PEL83 license, TotalEnergies further strengthens its position in Namibia by entering this new exploration license as operator.
