{"id":15519,"date":"2026-01-14T10:00:56","date_gmt":"2026-01-14T10:00:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.oilnewskenya.com\/?p=15519"},"modified":"2026-01-14T10:00:58","modified_gmt":"2026-01-14T10:00:58","slug":"nigeria-totalenergies-sign-spa-with-vaaris-to-divest-its-oil-interest-in-renaissance-jv","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.oilnewskenya.com\/index.php\/nigeria-totalenergies-sign-spa-with-vaaris-to-divest-its-oil-interest-in-renaissance-jv\/","title":{"rendered":"NIGERIA: TotalEnergies Sign SPA with Vaaris to Divest its Oil Interest in Renaissance JV"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">TotalEnergies has announced that its subsidiary TotalEnergies EP Nigeria has signed a Sale and Purchase Agreement (SPA) with Vaaris for the sale of its 10% non-operated interest in the Renaissance JV licenses in Nigeria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Renaissance JV, formerly known as the SPDC JV, is an unincorporated joint venture between Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Ltd (55%), Renaissance Africa Energy Company Ltd (30%, operator), TotalEnergies EP Nigeria (10%) and Agip Energy and Natural Resources Nigeria (5%), which holds 18 licenses in the Niger Delta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Under the agreement signed with Vaaris:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>TotalEnergies EP Nigeria will sell to Vaaris its 10% participating interest and all its rights and obligations in 15 licenses of Renaissance JV, which are producing mainly oil.
