{"id":15211,"date":"2025-09-11T05:31:03","date_gmt":"2025-09-11T05:31:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.oilnewskenya.com\/?p=15211"},"modified":"2025-09-11T05:36:55","modified_gmt":"2025-09-11T05:36:55","slug":"senegal-modec-and-afc-sign-co-operation-agreement-to-advance-maritime-infrastructure-in-africa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.oilnewskenya.com\/index.php\/senegal-modec-and-afc-sign-co-operation-agreement-to-advance-maritime-infrastructure-in-africa\/","title":{"rendered":"MODEC and AFC Sign Co-operation Agreement to Advance Maritime Infrastructure in Africa"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">MODEC has announced that it has executed a Co-operation Agreement with Africa Finance Corporation (AFC), Africa\u2019s leading infrastructure solutions provider to collaborate on Floating Production, Storage, and Offloading units (FPSO) projects as well as other maritime infrastructure projects in Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">MODEC has extensive African experience, having delivered 11 FPSOs\/FSOs<sup>*1<\/sup>\/MOPU<sup>*2<\/sup>\/TLPs<sup>*3<\/sup>\u00a0in West Africa in the past. Currently MODEC is providing charter service for FPSO Prof. John Evans Atta Mills in Ghana and operation and maintenance service (O&amp;M) for FPSO L\u00e9opold S\u00e9dar Senghor in Senegal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">AFC is a multilateral financial institution, established in 2007 to be the catalyst for pragmatic infrastructure and industrial investments across Africa. With 45 member countries and having invested over US$15 billion across the continent, AFC\u2019s approach combines specialist industry expertise with a focus on financial and technical advisory, project structuring, project development, and risk capital to address Africa\u2019s infrastructure development needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This CA is a framework aiming at future cooperation and information exchange in technical studies, market studies, structuring of finance solutions and sourcing of potential projects for future maritime infrastructure space in Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">MODEC Group President and CEO, Mr. Hirohiko Miyata, expressed his delight for enhancing relationship with AFC. \u201cWe are honored and excited to execute the CA with AFC.
