{"id":15102,"date":"2025-06-19T05:07:02","date_gmt":"2025-06-19T05:07:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.oilnewskenya.com\/?p=15102"},"modified":"2025-06-19T05:07:03","modified_gmt":"2025-06-19T05:07:03","slug":"algeria-totalenergies-is-granted-a-new-exploration-license","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.oilnewskenya.com\/index.php\/algeria-totalenergies-is-granted-a-new-exploration-license\/","title":{"rendered":"ALGERIA: TotalEnergies is Granted a New Exploration License"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">TotalEnergies, jointly with QatarEnergy, has been awarded the Ahara license following the \u201cAlgeria Bid Round 2024\u201d, launched by The National Agency for the Valorization of Hydrocarbon Resources (ALNAFT), the first call for tender conducted under the hydrocarbon law No.19-13.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ahara is a large license covering an area of approximately 14,900 km\u00b2, located at the intersection of the prolific Berkine and Illizi Basins. TotalEnergies will serve as the operator during the Exploration and Appraisal phases of this license with a 24.5% effective interest, the same share as QatarEnergy (24.5%).
