The National Oil, Gas and Biofuels Agency (ANPG), Azule Energy and the partners of Block 15\/06, namely Sonangol Exploration and Production and Sinopec, celebrate the arrival, today, of the floating production, storage and offloading vessel (FPSO) Agogo in Angolan waters, with operations scheduled to begin in the second half of 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With a production capacity of 120,000 barrels of oil per day, the vessel is equipped with carbon reduction technologies, including the first pilot post-combustion carbon capture system on an FPSO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Agogo FPSO is a key part of the Agogo Integrated West Pole Project, which aims to develop the two most significant discoveries in Block 15\/06, the Agogo and Ndungu fields. The Agogo field has estimated reserves of approximately 450 million barrels and is designed to produce 175,000 barrels per day at peak production.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There were several challenging stages throughout the Project, but it also demonstrates the right partnerships and the determination of our Human Capital. Built and operated by Yinson Production, the FPSO began its voyage from the Cosco Shipping Heavy Industry shipyard in China, having recently made a brief stop in Namibia as part of the planned logistics to replenish supplies and facilitate the crew change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
