International energy\u00a0companies\u00a0Eni Mozambico SpA\u00a0and\u00a0CNOOC Hong Kong Holding Limited, last week submitted proposals to explore areas under the 6th Licensing Round for the concession of areas for oil and gas exploration and production.<\/p>\n

Eni<\/strong>\u00a0showed interest for the area\u00a0A6-C, in Angoche, and\u00a0CNOOC\u00a0for the areas\u00a0S6-A, A6-G, A6-D, S6-B and A6-E,<\/strong> located in\u00a0Angoche\u00a0and\u00a0Save, respectively.<\/p>\n

It should be noted that the two companies propose to form a partnership with Mozambique\u2019s National Oil Company, namely\u00a0Empresa Nacional de Hidrocarbonetos,\u00a0E.P, distributing the participating interest as follows:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. A6-C – ENI operator (60%) and ENH partner (40%).<\/li>\n
  2. S6-A – CNOOC operator (70%) and ENH partner (30%).<\/li>\n
  3. A6-G – CNOOC operator (79.5%) and ENH partner (20.5%).<\/li>\n
  4. A6-D – CNOOC operator (77.5%) and ENH partner (22.5%).<\/li>\n
  5. S6-B – CNOOC operator with 77.5% and partner ENH (22.5%).<\/li>\n
  6. A6-E – CNOOC operator with 80% and partner ENH (20%).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Speaking to the representatives of the energy\u00a0companies, during the opening ceremony of the proposals,\u00a0Naz\u00e1rio Bangalane,\u00a0Chairmanof the upstream regulator, the\u00a0National Petroleum Institute – INP, thanked\u00a0Eni\u00a0and\u00a0CNOOC\u00a0for their interest in investing in those areas with proven petroleum potential and stressed that the evaluation process of the proposals will be made by a multisectoral team composed of senior officials from different state institutions with technical capacity and experience in \u00a0evaluating such proposals, assisted by an external consultant, in order to ensure a fully transparent process.<\/p>\n

    The\u00a0deadline for submission of proposals ended today<\/strong>\u00a0and the announcement of the results is expected to take place by\u00a030th December 2022<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
