{"id":12307,"date":"2022-06-06T09:53:18","date_gmt":"2022-06-06T09:53:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.oilnewskenya.com\/?p=12307"},"modified":"2022-06-06T09:53:18","modified_gmt":"2022-06-06T09:53:18","slug":"nigeria-savannah-energy-signs-new-gas-sales-agreement-with-transafam-power-limited","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.oilnewskenya.com\/index.php\/nigeria-savannah-energy-signs-new-gas-sales-agreement-with-transafam-power-limited\/","title":{"rendered":"NIGERIA: Savannah Energy Signs New Gas Sales Agreement with TransAfam Power Limited"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"cb\"><span class=\"cc\">Savannah Energy has<\/span><span class=\"bw\"><span class=\"z\"> announced that the Company&#8217;s 80% indirectly owned subsidiary, Accugas Limited, has entered into a new gas sales agreement with TransAfam Power Limited (TAPL) in relation to the provision of gas for use at its power plants in Rivers State, Nigeria.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"cb\"><span class=\"cc\">TAPL is a licensed power generation company in\u00a0Nigeria\u00a0and is the core investor in the\u00a0Afam Power Plc\u00a0and\u00a0Afam Three Fast Power\u00a0plants located in Okoloma, Rivers State,\u00a0Nigeria\u00a0with installed capacity of 966MW.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"cb\"><span class=\"cc\">Accugas has entered a GSA with TAPL to supply up to 35 MMscfpd of gas on an interruptible basis for an initial term of three months, with the option to extend for a mutually agreed period. \u00a0The plant is connected to the Accugas network via the\u00a0Nigerian Gas Company\u00a0pipeline from Ikot Abasi and no further tie-in or capital expenditure is required by Accugas to deliver gas to TAPL.<\/span><span class=\"ce\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"cd\"><span class=\"ce\">Andrew Knott, CEO of Savannah Energy, said:<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"cf\"><span class=\"cg\">&#8220;I am delighted to add TAPL as a new customer of Accugas. This represents the second new GSA we have signed this year, bringing our total number of gas customers to seven, as we deliver on our objective to be the gas supplier of choice to the power sector in\u00a0Nigeria.&#8221;<\/span><span class=\"ce\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"cd\"><span class=\"ce\">Vincent Ozoude, MD\/CEO of\u00a0TransAfam Power Limited\u00a0said:<\/span><span class=\"bn\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"ch\"><span class=\"ci\">\u00a0&#8220;We are excited to start this journey with\u00a0Accugas Limited\u00a0which supports our core purpose of improving lives and transforming\u00a0Nigeria.
