Camac Energy has said it plans to drill two exploration wells in blocks L1B and L16 in the next two years as well as in Block L27 or L28 by the year 2017.<\/p>\n
This is according to a presentation by the company on its key program for Kenya at the Independent Petroleum Association of America OGIS 2014 event held in Toronto on Thursday.<\/p>\n
Camac which holds a 100% working interest with the Kenyan government having the option to participate up to 20% upon development 2016\/2017 has already completed a Gravity and Magnetic Survey on Blocks L1B\/L16 Onshore as well as completed an Environmental Study in Feb in 2014 in the same area.<\/p>\n
On the two blocks Camac Energy is now preparing to shoot 2D seismic with the results from the 2D interpretation planned to be used to outline the location for a 3D seismic acquisition in 2014\/2015.<\/p>\n
On the offshore blocks L27\/L28 the company has completed acquisition of multi-client 2D seismic in March 2014 which is being processed by\u00a0WesternGeco, a Schlumberger company with the next step being to conduct a Geological and Geophysical Study.<\/p>\n
The company had during the last operational update said its current activities onshore Block L1B are targeting net unrisked prospective resources of 900 MMBO from five leads.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
