{"id":11388,"date":"2021-12-15T08:07:02","date_gmt":"2021-12-15T08:07:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.oilnewskenya.com\/?p=11388"},"modified":"2021-12-15T08:07:02","modified_gmt":"2021-12-15T08:07:02","slug":"morocco-chariot-commences-drilling-operations-on-the-anchois-gas-development-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.oilnewskenya.com\/index.php\/morocco-chariot-commences-drilling-operations-on-the-anchois-gas-development-project\/","title":{"rendered":"MOROCCO: Chariot Commences Drilling Operations on the Anchois Gas Development Project"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"dj\"><span class=\"cv\">Chariot has<\/span><span class=\"cv\"> announced that the Stena Don drilling rig has now arrived on location in the Lixus licence, offshore Morocco, to carry out drilling operations on the Anchois gas development project.\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"cv\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"do\"><span class=\"ct\">\u00b7\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"cs\">Operations to drill the Anchois-2 gas appraisal &amp; exploration well and re-enter the previously drilled Anchois-1 gas discovery well are expected to take up to approximately 40 days.<\/span><span class=\"cq\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"dq\"><strong><span class=\"ct\">\u00b7\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"cs\">Anchois-2 gas appraisal &amp; exploration well drilling objectives:<\/span><span class=\"cu\">\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"ds\"><span class=\"cn\">o\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"cm\">Unlock the development of the discovered sands by confirming the gas resource volumes, reservoir quality and well productivity.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"ds\"><span class=\"cn\">o\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"cm\">Provide a future production well for the development of the field.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"ds\"><span class=\"cn\">o\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"cm\">Deepen the appraisal well into additional low-risk exploration targets with the aim of\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"ck\">establishing a larger resource base for longer term growth.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"dq\"><strong><span class=\"ct\">\u00b7\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"cs\">Anchois-1 gas discovery well re-entry objectives:<\/span><span class=\"cq\">\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"ds\"><span class=\"cn\">o\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"cm\">Assess the integrity of the previously drilled well.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"ds\"><span class=\"cn\">o\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"cm\">Evaluate the productivity and gas characteristics of the discovered A Gas Sand.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"dv\"><span class=\"cn\">o\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"cm\">Provide a second future production well for the development of the field.<\/span><span class=\"cq\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"dy\"><span class=\"cy\">Adonis Pouroulis, Acting CEO of Chariot, commented:<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"dz\"><span class=\"cz\">&#8220;I am pleased to announce that the Stena Don has now arrived on site, with operations to commence immediately, for a potentially transformational drilling programme for Chariot.
