The acting executive secretary of the Nigerian Content development and Monitoring Board will be the key speaker at the Oil and Energy Services Local Content Convention set for Nairobi later next month.<\/p>\n

Nwapa has a wealth of experience the international oil and gas industry having worked within various capacities and functions in the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation and has also written several papers and made presentations on the subjects of local content development and capacity.<\/p>\n

Nwapa who is well known for his advocacy and promotion of capacity building and local content development in national oil and gas industries will be alongside other key personalities including Sonal Sejpal\u00a0has been a director with Anjarwalla & Khanna in Nairobi and managing editor at Nation Group Linus Kaikai.<\/p>\n

Sonal is a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales with considerable experience in oil and gas, aviation finance, mergers & acquisitions, energy, project finance, employment, banking and capital markets.<\/p>\n

The last speaker is Principal Policy Analyst and the Head of Private Sector Development Division, Kenya Institute for Public Policy Research and Analysis Prof. Joe Kieyah.<\/p>\n

Joseph Kieyah holds a PhD and Master of Art (MA) in Economics from University of Connecticut and University of Missouri respectively as well as a Juris Doctorate (JD) in Law with specialty on Competition Law and International Trade from University of Iowa College of Law.<\/p>\n

The first conference and exhibition that seeks to stir debate on local content in the upstream oil and gas industry in the Eastern Africa region.<\/p>\n

The Oil and Energy Services Local Content Convention will bring together over 400 local, regional and international industry participants to discuss ways of developing the capabilities and competitiveness of indigenous businesses and workforce in the sector.<\/p>\n
