CHAD: Successful conclusion of twelve well campaign on Badila Field

PetroChad Mangara (PCM), Perenco’s wholly owned Chad subsidiary, has announced that it
has completed a successful twelve well drilling campaign at the Badila oil field in Chad.
Eight horizontal wells targeting the Upper Cretaceous reservoir were drilled during the campaign,
alongside three water disposal wells and one appraisal well. The campaign also consisted of the
installation of four gas turbines, providing extra power generation from the field, as well as an uplift
in processing capabilities, in order to handle increased production from Badila.

Following the campaign and subsequent Badila production increase, Perenco’s production in Chad
from both the Badila and Mangara fields has reached over 18,000 barrels of oil per day (bopd),
surpassing the initial 16,000 bopd production target following the restarting of operations three years
ago. The GWDC rig has now moved to PCM’s Krim development in the Doba Basin in southern Chad
where it will conduct an additional eight-well drilling campaign.

Commenting on the campaign, Eric Josseron, General Manager PetroChad Mangara , said:
“The success of the Badila campaign, and associated production increase of 7,000 bopd, is an
important operational milestone and the ongoing investment in drilling underpins our commitment to
the country. The campaign was achieved safely and in close co-ordination with Société des
Hydrocarbures du Tchad (SHT) and the Ministry of Hydrocarbons.

“We are also pleased to have delivered a number of important community initiatives over recent
months. These have been focused on the provision of health, education, clean energy for the hospital
in Moundou and supporting biodiversity. These are all projects designed to have a meaningful and
long-lasting positive impact in the areas close to our operations.”
