SONATRACH to Invest $40B during the period 2022-2026

During an interview with the Algerian international channel “AL24”, Mr. Hakkar specified that the SONATRACH Group’s investment plan for the period 2022-2026 comprises nearly 40 billion dollars, including 8 billion dollars in 2022, adding that “the greater part of these investments will be directed towards exploration and production in order to preserve national productive capacities”.

According to the CEO of SONATRACH, it is also a question of financing refining projects to meet national demand in this field, noting that SONATRACH aspires to carry out at least four projects in the field of petrochemicals.

As part of its proactive plan, the SONATRACH group has allocated $ 500 million as investments for the protection of the environment.
